Tea Party Games

These are just some ideas of games that could be played. At the Mother Daughter Tea Party, we will play some of them.

Tea Bag Drop (a version of “pin the tail”) – place a teapot on the floor (either a real or cut out of one). Each girls gets a chance to try to drop the tea bag in the tea pot while she is blindfolded.

Pin The Lid (a version of “pin the tail”) – similar to Pin the Tail, each girls takes turns trying to pin the lid of the tea pot to the tea pot (both cut outs) while blindfolded.

Guess the Flavors/Tea – Put various types of tea into bags / cups. The girls take turns trying to guess what flavors / ingredients are in the tea.

Conversation Game – Played in tables / groups. Write various questions onto slips of paper. Each person takes a turn drawing a question and answering it. Questions could include:

  • If you could go to the Olympics in one sport, which would you choose? Why?
  • How are you like your mother? How are you like your father?
  • Would you rather be someone hug you, praise you, or do something nice for you? Why?

They can be as silly or serious as you want. Particularly fun, because you can theme the questions off your event.

Photo Booth

Using a phone as a camera or a real camera, a simple backdrop (pinterest has some great ideas), and some props, you can easily create a photo booth. You can have the pictures printed on the spot or save them and make them available to everyone after the event.
