Rancho Alegre provides a unique hands-on environment for learners of all ages to connect with nature through a variety of experiences.
“In a world where everything is simplified to be produced fast and economical, traditional farming becomes a lost tradition. We show students where the food that they eat comes from. They won’t realize how much they are learning when they feed a cow, milk a goat, or dig in the worms!”
Activities include:
We need a maintain the leader ratio of 1 adult for every 6 girls with a minimum of 2 adults attending.
All girls need to have a High Adventure Medical Form in order to participate, as well as a Parent Permission Slip. The Medical Form must have the Signature of Licensed Health Care Practitioner (AHG, Inc. allows MD, DO, PA, CNP to sign).
This is a good field trip to complement with the Horsemanship badge, Gardening & Plant Science and maybe a few others.
Please wear closed toed shoes and weather/activity-appropriate clothing.
If you have other children who you must bring with you, please let us know so that we can determine whether or not we have room; additional children could participate in the activities at the same cost, but AHG girls have dips on available spots.
